Genroute is a small console-router project built around simple, durable network services using a Gentoo linux overlay, custom kernel and scripts.

The idea is an old-school local infrastructure box: DHCP, DNS, NTP, PPP, serial console access, terminal server, PXE/TFTP, rsync, NFS, packet routing, and telephone switching with Asterisk, DAHDI, SIP, and SS7.

Built for learning, repair, field notes, and keeping useful machines useful.
